Hope your Thanksgiving went well :-) I worked in the morning, had a great dinner about about 1:30, then came home, counted blessings, started getting text pictures, started crying :-) good cryin!! I couldn’t help but think of how thankful I am, along with all the blessings that God has given me. I don’t know how many times in The Scriptures the word thankful appears, but I know it does, quite often!! Let’s do ourselves a favor these next few weeks before Christmas, let’s continue with the thanks and the givings, and refuse to get caught up in the busyness of this time of year!!! This includes myself, I know when I miss a day or two on the daily thoughts, I feel like I’m not only letting you down , But myself as well!!! When we commit to something, through prayer, dedication and the effort to do it, there is a feeling of reward for sure when we accomplish that. So thanks to you for checking in today, and thanks to you for being faithful to do so, so I will try harder these next few weeks, keep the daily thoughts daily, and not sorta daily :-) Have a great Friday, do yourself Friday and don’t go shopping today :-) Continued prayers for Maverick and Kristopher 🙏🙏 Thank You

I love it when so-called number one teams in the country get handed their hats by little schools, I just love it. Three number one teams have gotten beat this year in college basketball by non-ranked teams, I love it,I love it,I love it. You talk about David and Goliath,no one took David seriously, and look what he did. Number one is not where it’s at, think about Jesus leaving what He left in heaven, to come down here on earth to mingle with all the non-ranked people and Be Their Saviour!!! If you’ve got the faith that David had, you take on number ones, any day of the week, with God behind you. I don’t know who will be number one next week, but I hope they get beat too :-) I love the underdog, they try harder, they’re more sincere, and they know that victory awaits them!! I know when David went down in that valley to take on Goliath, that giant was thinking, this is who you send to take on mighty me, but David had God, a sling, and a couple little stones, and ended up cutting of the so called mighty’s head off, and hoisting it on his own spear !!! I love it :-) Have a great Wednesday, don’t be afraid to take on the Giants, as long as you’ve got God on your team, guaranteed you’ll cut down the nets in victory on their home court !!!! Prayers for Kristopher, Maverick,Allison & John would be appreciated, they’re taking on giants these days!! Have a great Wednesday
When David wrote the 23rd Psalm, I have a feeling he was writing himself a note. Just think of the way it starts out, THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, my, personal. I shall not want. In this world today if you know THE SHEPHERD, and HE is yours, your “want department”should be a whole different ball game then if you don’t know Him!! I love the part where David reminds us, HE leads me beside still waters, sheep have enough brains not to drink out of a raging river because they know if their wool gets wet they’re going bye-bye :-) I’ve seen a lot of people, including myself, that seem to test the waters, or stick their foot into a raging river, just to see if they can keep their balance. Sheep are smart enough to stay away from it :-) With Thanksgiving this week, let’s forget the wants, and let’s focus on The Blessings, Our Shepherd, has provided us with!!! Have a Great Lords Day!!!
And Happy Birthdays, to my grandson Hazen, and my newest daughter-in-law,Alexandra!!’ Love & Prayers to you both !!!!! Just a quick thought for your very busy Saturday before Thanksgiving, I wrote this in one of my journals eight years ago. “I’ve always looked at the miracles of God through all of His creation, and can’t help but be thankful that God himself, loved me enough, to send HIS SON for me. Then I skip down to my “answers to prayer column” and I wrote,”what isn’t an answer to prayer these days, think of your blessings Ken,think of your blessings. Quick thought on this busy Saturday,Look at the stars tonight :-) He knows you by name :-) Have a great Saturday!!
I’ve always thought Thanksgiving, should be called “Thanks & Giving” Continued prayers for Maverick and Kristopher, muchly appreciated !!! We’ve all heard the saying, and probably have even said it, “my heart just isn’t into it.” Boy,Christianity can be like that at the drop of a hat. From Genesis, through Revelation, The Bible, itself contains ups and downs, lots of them. But what we have to cling to, and believe in, is that Christ has been there, He’s done that. Right now my sons and I are trying to get all of our fall cleanups done on our properties, we’ve had crummy weather since August, 6 inches of snow two weeks ago, it’s hard to get out there and get your heart into it under those conditions. But today, we should turn the corner and be able to see the finish line in sight. I won’t lie to you, it definitely helps when you can see the finish line, or you see good news ahead. If your heart isn’t into it right now, hang in there, Jesus has been there and done that. He loves us. Continued prayers for Kristopher & Maverick !! Muchly appreciated !! Have a Good Friday
Paul wrote his letter to the Philippians, while he was in prison, and in his second chapter, verses 10 and 11, he penned something that is going to be unbelievable. That of course is when he’s talking about every knee shall bow before Jesus, and every tongue confess Him!!! If Christ is not your Lord today,I can honestly say, that day is going to be one of world - wide submission. I tell people to try to totally get the picture of that day, when I say my prayers at night, kneeling at my bed , my morning prayers are at a little altar by my fireplace, I can’t help but think, one day I will look at Him face-to-face. Paul had a lot of time to think about this while incarcerated, might want to look those two verses up and picture that day for yourself. People will hear one of two things that day, “well done thou good and faithful servant” or “I knew you not “
WOW !!! Heart check time :-) I don’t mean to be a downer, this should be an upper, Christ has already done the horrific work of dying on the cross ,so you could know Him,and be forgiven of your sins!! He Loves Us !!! Continued prayers for Maverick and Kristopher!! Have a great Thursday SALVATION IS A GIFT, OPEN YOUR HEART AND RECEIVE IT !!!!!!! In Revelation 2:9,Jesus, Himself says “I know”. When you think of those two words said by Our Savior, Himself, it’s good to know we’re not alone. The reason He can say”I know”, is because Jesus, Himself, has gone through it . So if you’re going some through something today and it doesn’t feel like “I know”is with you, hang in there, because He is. Much easier said than done, but there is seven times in The Scriptures, where Jesus reminds a certain group of people, that He’s aware of what’s going on. That’s when these things, called faith and trust, have to kick in, BIG - TIME !! Continued prayers for Maverick,Allison,John & Kristopher, would be muchly appreciated !!! THANK YOU
Remember, “I Know” is with you today!!! Have a good Wednesday :-) Yesterday I had a great time going to the Michigan, Michigan State, football game down at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor. 114,000 people in that place. I had the privilege of going with my four kids, their spouses, and some nephews and nieces, what a great time. That will definitely be my last football game I go to, that will be a hard one to top !! As I stood there in that stadium, I couldn’t help but think of Moses leading God’s people around, even a great deal more than those that were there yesterday. To have that responsibility, to have that leadership, it’s no wonder it aged Moses quite quickly :-) Then all I could think about, is that every knee shall bow that was at that stadium, in front of Christ someday, sitting at the judgment seat!!! I thought to myself, how many in here, will hear,”well done thou good and faithful servant”!! Staggering when you really think of it!! Had a great time, Thanks Ryan :-) Continued prayer for Maverick, Kristopher and Laurie!! Many Thanks & Have A Great Lords Day!!!
Moses reassures us in Genesis 28:16, when Jacob woke from his sleep and said “surely the Lord is in this place”. Good to know 28 chapters into The Word of God, He is making it very clear that He’s there. How do we listen to Him, we read His Word!!! Peter reminds us that we can’t see Him,but we can enjoy the unbelievable, glorious love that He sent to us through His Son!!! There’s times we might not feel like He knows, or even feel lonely, but yet He is still present. Don’t give up seeking Him, one of the best things we have going, is knowing that God is in our presence.Christ, Himself, on that Good Friday, asked His Father,” where are you, don’t forget me” !! Hang in there and have a good Saturday!! More and more prayers please for Maverick,Kristopher and Laurie!!! THANK YOU
Deer hunting season opens today, here in Michigan, a lot of people look forward to it for sure. I think it would be more fair though if we gave the deer firearms :-) Have you ever had the feeling of, this isn’t fair!!! We’ve all felt sometimes like there’s a target on our back, and there’s no way we can defend ourselves. Jesus talked about how to “dress”our lives everyday with Him, to protect us from those pot shots, certain people, and the devil take at us everyday!!!
I have yet to hear about a deer that sets out a bait trap :-) and then shoots a hunter, but that’s exactly what Satan does!! Sets the bait, and here we go,we’ll walk right into the trap with that target on our back!!!!Put on the armor of God, it includes one Big Two Edged Sword :-) Non-stop prayers for Maverick, Kristopher , and Laurie !!!! Many thanks !!! Have a great Friday!!!! |
