I remember the cute little phase of “Where’s Waldo,”that’s where they would hide this little guy in the middle of a bunch of different figures and pictures, and you were to find him :-) I will admit, Waldo hid pretty good sometimes :-) Revelation 3:20, explains to us, Jesus doesn’t play hide and seek, He stands at the door of your heart and “Knocks” It’s up to us whether or not to let Him in. I think it’s very interesting He doesn’t stand there and pound, or beg, He leaves that decision of opening the door to our hearts to us. I’ve let Him in, but sometimes the problem of my heart is I open it to other knocks as well, that I know I shouldn’t. I’ve got to start slamming the door and keeping it locked with all the other crap that can come into my heart. If you’ve heard Him knock and you’ve let Him in,let’s both put a real good security system on our heart this week, Live for Jesus sold out, and keep that other clutter out of there. Have a great Lord’s Day !!!!

Let’s say God was to have you marooned on a deserted island in the year, A.D. 96. He told you that you will be writing the book of “The Revelation,” and that He wanted it presented in a threefold way :-) Can you think of the three ways in which God was talking about? #1.THAT WHICH WAS #2.THAT WHICH IS PRESENT & #3.THAT WHICH IS YET TO COME!!!!!! And He told you to do it all in 22 chapters :-) and I thought 10th grade geometry homework was hard :-) Just think John, got his foot notes from God and Jesus themselves, talk about you better pay attention!! Can’t even begin to phantom that one. To be trusted with the closing book of The Bible, and to get it right, which he did!!! Might want to take a month and read this book,it’s amazing, and it’s all true, inspired by God Himself !!!! Have a Good Saturday. :-)
The Apostle Paul, uses the book of Ephesians to instruct us on how to live in THE LIGHT!! When you think about it,God Himself is THE LIGHT, .I wrote myself a little note 8 years ago to stay out of the darkness and that it is not right to try to justify everything that you do. Then in all capital letters I wrote STAY OUT OF THE DARKNESS!!! You expose darkness by living in light, and if you are a child of the light, and you are following God, you won’t feel comfortable getting around the dark. God doesn’t expect us to avoid coming in contact with wickedness,Jesus Himself came to save the sinners, but once again fellowship with unfruitful can get you close to dusk. Ephesians 5:12, Paul makes it very clear that it is shameful even to speak of the things which are done in secret, or another words in darkness. I still love, and sing my cute little Sunday School song”this little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine” let’s work on that this Friday!! Thanks for checking in,have a great day!! STAY OUT OF THE DARKNESS!!!
i’d like to take the day and wish my big brother Steve,a very Happy Birthday out in Kingman Arizona. It’s a big one,he turns 70 :-) I can still remember the days we would dress up in our cowboy outfits and be the baddest cowboys God ever made :-) Then our summers up at Birch Lake, in Elk Rapids Michigan, those days have some tremendous memories. Like all good big brothers,he looked out for me, and handed me down some really nice clothes, but most importantly include me in his life. I can’t help but think how Christ must feel when we look up to him like a big brother, knowing he is constantly with us. Steve and I, both know Christ as Savior, and both know that this vapor of time that we have here on earth will be nothing compared to the time we will spend in heaven together. I don’t know if we’ll wear the cowboy suit :-) but I know we both will
wear the crown righteousness, and maybe a few other jewels thrown in, because of our personal Faith and Trust that we both have in our Saviour . This life is short, I can’t believe my brother is 70, but just think in heaven 10,000 years will seem like a day. If you don’t know Jesus, what a great day to invite him in to your life !!! Happy Steve ,I love you, I am so blessed to have you as my big brother!!! # 2, Ken :-) When people ask me my personal opinion on fornication, I tell them to go read First Corinthians 10:8, then get back with me!!! That of course is the verse where The Apostle Paul tells us that God killed 23,000 fornicators in one day. Now I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to think God doesn’t like it, who cares what I’ve got to say about it!!!
I know what God told Paul to write about it!!!! I’m glad that God forgives through His Sons Blood, but the best question is, how many times! Well, I know I’ve made a bunch of new friends today,so let’s all have a good Wednesday :-) As always, preaching to myself!!! I miss the good old days, you know, when sin would scare us !!! Turned 67 today!!!! I’m a luckiest dad and grandpa in the world just wanted to thank The Lord for all that I have, and that I could never count all my blessings if I had too!!!
I have my other birthday too,the day I received Christ many years ago!!! Earthly family that loves me, a Heavenly Father that died for me, doesn’t get any better than that :-) Have a great Tuesday!! On Wednesday afternoons I pick up one of my grandsons, Hazen from school. We sing a couple cute little songs and then he solos on the one where” the stone was rolled away ,the tomb is empty”!! The angels, God sent, asked The Disciples,in Luke 24,”why do you look for the living among the dead, He’s not here, He is risen!!!! The Resurrection is a recorded fact, throughout The Scriptures, but it does you absolutely no good whatsoever, unless you believe it and trust Christ did die for your sins, and as promised, He has risen !!! What a feeling to know on this March 25, 2019, I can try my best to serve a risen Savior :-) Have a good Monday :-) “I know that He is living no matter what men say” SELAH (think of that) :-)
Matthew reminds us of the brutality of the cross, Paul, in Galatians, reminds us that because Christ bore the cross for us,we should be willing to take it up for Him!!
If you have some type of jewelry with the cross on it, the next time you wear it, remember what it really stood for, His death for our salvation!!! So let’s “take the cross up daily” For THE ONE who was nailed to it, and live for Him,DAILY!!!!! Have a great Sunday :-) In Samuels’ second letter, chapter 24 verse 24,he reminds us “not to be giving up offerings on to the Lord that cost us nothing.”When you think of what our salvation cost Jesus, and to become a Christian is free,I guess we have to look at it like our redemption cost Jesus His Life!!! I think we’re all aware of the fact that sometimes commitment is determined by if it’s convenient, what it cost, and is there a comfort level for me!! Samuel wants to remind us that giving to the Lord shouldn’t be as of a tip, but that of a sacrifice!! Have thine own way Lord, You are the potter, I am the clay. I hope if you have Christ in your life,it shows from the mold of which you are made :-) When you have a chance to be a witness for Christ, just remember what He did on Good Friday!! SELAH !! Have a great Saturday!!
If I was to ask you today to list what stresses you out, and what you’re thankful for, which list would have more!! Then if I was to ask you how many “ I Will “plans do you have for obedience, what do you think those lists would include. I can guarantee you if your list of plans to “be obedient” was a good one, you’re “thankful for “list would be far greater then you’re “stressed out” tally:-) We all know how God speaks to us, that’s through His Word! The Scriptures highly recommend obedience, it will save you a lot of gray hair :-) Promise yourself to read God’s Mannual seven days in a row ,you’ll be amazed as to how your “thankful for”list grows and the “stressed out”list fades!!
READ, MEMORISE,AND WALK THE WALK!! Did you know that some Bibles use special paper, that’s just in case you want to read it so much, you won’t wear it out!! Have A Good Friday !!! |
