Flawless, there's a word you don't hear too much of anymore these days :-) Did you know that's what the cross makes you, yeah , even a wretch like me !!! Aren't you glad God's mercy never runs out I can't believe there's any left after he sets me straight again and again ,good news there's plenty and it never runs out !! Thank You Jesus :-) going to work on the flawless today, and less mercy, Who knows I might even actually leave a little mercy for you after the days over, but like I said there's plenty help yourself !!! Mercy doesn't mean go out and do what you want, it means when you fail from being flawless like me you can use it :-) Enjoy your Saturday

In I John 5 the author is kind of telling us how to pray. John makes it very clear that when we come to God in prayer we can ask for anything but we have to keep it within what he wants and what his will for our lives would be!! What if God says no to your prayer request? That can even make you feel like what's the use He's not listening!! Edison didn't get a lightbulb on the first try,Jesus told his disciples go back out and put your nets on the other side, HANG IN THERE AND PRAY!
I look at prayer as a continuing conversation with my savior, when I say AMEN it means I'll get back with you, the conversation should never end! If you've ever gone out on a body of water in a boat to the point where you couldn't see land wherever you looked you trust your compass to tell you which way to go back, no compass, start praying :-) God loves those short prayers too :-)A boxer will tell you that a quick little jab does more damage than a sweeping hook, send up some short little jabs today God is waiting to spar with you !!!! And if he tells you I'm sending you back out for round 2, put on some of his armor, He's always in your corner cheering you on!!! It's TGIF !!!! Thank God I'm Forgiven that's what TGIF means to me :-) On a day like today, being in the lawn care and landscaping business, we have to be grateful for the rain but yet at the same time it sure messes up our cute little schedule :-)!! On a day like today I hear from all my buddies that are also in this business with the famous question how far behind are you :-) Funny, but it's like it encourages us to know other people that are going through what we're going through. Can't even begin to imagine how lonely Jesus had to feel at times, knowing he was the son of God, but no one and I mean no one could ever experience how he felt with what he knew he had to do, and that was to give is perfect life on a rugged cross for our sins!!! I'll be sure to thank him for that today and maybe we can all call a "buddy"and encourage them as well !!! Jesus was not in the "it's all about me business" He gave His life for us!!'
Have a good Thursday folks, and thanks for taking the time to read daily thoughts today :-) Ever get more done in one day than you ever thought you would? Well, in the lawn care and landscape business, it is great to have a day like that :-)accomplishment is a great thing it's a good feeling. That's why when we stay focused as a Christian and live for Christ the best we can that feeling is a carryover and it is great!!! By living our lives for him you're going to have those got more done than I ever thought I would with him as your savior! Enjoy your Wednesday
The thunderstorms we had here last night made me think back to growing up on Birch Lake in Elk Rapids every summer!!I loved hearing that rain come across that lake but right outside my bedroom window was our oil barrel and I could tell by the rain coming off the roof the different sounds how much oil was still in that barrel when the rain hit it :-)
We can tell too can't we when were half full of joy, there's a different sound to us when our barrel is not full!!! Jesus wants our cups to be running over so to speak so we've got a good solid sound all the time, so let's fill up our hearts with Jesus today and when the rain and storms come we're ready with that fullness of sound!!' The Holy Spirit that lives within us likes a full tank!!! "Fill Her Up" that's from the good old days when we'd go get gas :-) Enjoy your Tuesday I love the story in the book of Joshua when he asked God to hold the moon and sun at a standstill while he defeated this one army! God not only answered his prayer but he sent a few hailstones on his enemy, OUCH :-) He sure heard Joshua, this took place of course after Joshua and his army had just re-claimed Jericho ! Because Joshua was saying his prayers, trusting in his God, living for him he was WHOOPPIN everybody!!! If there's something you've got to take on today, pray with faith, real faith, I bet the forecast for that enemy will be hailstones and a WHOOPPIN!!! Oh and after you claim victory, make sure you thank HIM!!!! Let's all be a Joshua today, HAVE TRUST & FAITH, have a great Monday!!'
With this being the week of the Passover for my Jewish friends, it certainly is something for us to think about also!! The Israelites were instructed in Exodus to put blood above their door posts from a perfect lamb because the worst plague was yet to come and this blood would protect them from it, this of course was the angel of death. God promised anyone that had blood on their door post this angel would pass over their home!! I don't know about you but if I'm an Egyptian, and I've seen the other nine plagues and then this one to be promised I'd go buy me a couple of sheep!!
Another cool thing about Passover is that God instructed His people to eat a special meal and have certain clothes on in order to be ready to be lead out of Egypt :-) Jesus, as you know, was called the "Lamb of God" his blood, shed on the cross for yours and my sins. God gives us plenty of chances to receive his son, in fact right up to our last breath, if you don't know him what a great day to invite him into your heart, let his redemptive blood wash you clean, eat good food and be ready for his return!!! Put on your I love Jesus clothes, another words be ready for His return :-) Enjoy your Lords Day!!!!! I remember in grade school we had this real cool display of all the planets, and you'd turn this one handle they all moved at the same time. I thought that was pretty amazing :-) Can't imagine how God felt when he spoke creation into movement!! Just like those little planets that were whipping around the sun always following the same course!! I bet it had to be hard for God to put man down here on this earth and mess it all up!!! Talk about getting perfect order out of whack! But the good news is God loves us better than anything else he made, enough to send his son to save us from our sins!! He knows the stars by name and the number of hairs on our head :-) Just like the planets they always follows the same course, let's do the same and stay on course for our Creator
Enjoy your Saturday !!' When God's people finally got to go back to Jerusalem after being forced out by the Babylonians, Nehemiah decided it was time to reconstruct the walls that surrounded Jerusalem!! As the wall got taller and stronger the enemies of the Israelites became concerned and tried to trick Nehemiah and get him to quit building the wall!!
I love what he told them, I'm not going to stop this project and I will give everyone of my workers a nice great big sharp sword for anyone deciding to try to stop us, lookout!! I love it, another words don't mess with us we're on a mission from God!! Not saying let's carry a sword around today, but let's stand up for what we believe in,God is love, but he's got a whole bunch a wrath for those who try to stop his people!!! Stand up, stand up for Jesus, yee soldiers of the cross !!!!! I say let's make this a live for Christ Friday :-) Remember the good ole days going into the library sitting down and getting out the encyclopedias to do a book report? That was the best, plus the girls in the library thought I was actually smart :-) I loved the library, home ec class and honors choir for various reasons LOL
In John 21:25 this follower of Christ made it very clear in his book that the world could not hold the volumes if everything Jesus did and stood for had been written down !!! So like the encyclopedias, packed with good stuff so are all 66 books of the Bible!! Remember God inspired it's authors along with his son Jesus, so I think what we need to know is in there nothing was left out, and most of us have a hard enough time cracking open the Scriptures daily, so let's take the 66 books he's given us, dive in there, and do some studying!!! Like library hour and the encyclopedias, you'll be amazed at what you learn!!!! Thy WORD have I hid in my heart, not on some shelf !!!!!! READ IT, LOVE IT, LIVE IT !!! Have a great Thursday |
