First off, just an apology for missing the last few days, been a little busy pushing snow around here in mid Michigan, very grateful :-) In John 8, Jesus was talking to a group of His Jewish friends, who believed in Him, and He was reminding them that you have to continue in MY WORD,and you will be my disciples indeed!! Then of course this truth follows that request “and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free”. Another words when we think of the power truth and how fabulous it is when we truly believe, that truth gets re-born everyday when we continue in His Word!! It’s not just enough to acknowledge you know the truth, but what we have to do is, like that group of Jewish friends were doing, is to follow the truth and practice it as well. When we worry about our holiness to our savior, it will definitely reduce the fear of punishment. Gods Word Is The Truth!!! Stick with it, and believe it, anybody who changes it or adds to it is considered a demonic force, and by the way that’s not good!!!!! 😇😇 You have a great Friday, prayers today for Maverick and little Oliver would be muchly appreciated 🙏🙏👍👍 You’re the best thanks for checking in 🤗🤗

John reminds us in his 5th chapter,44th verse, “how can we believe and receive honour from one another and not seek the honour that comes from God only.”Good question, Paul comes through with something in Galatians along the same line that says,” for if I yet please men, I will not be a servant of Christ,” that’s in Galatians one. If you look around this world today, you will see men thinking it’s far more important as to what men think about them, instead of what God knows about them!! Far more important that in all things, we should do them for His Glory!!! I would much rather be accepted by Christ and rejected by man, instead of the other way, accepted by man rejected by Christ. There will be a day when you will kneel before Christ, and He will say “well done thou good and faithful servant, or I knew you not.” Like my mom use to say “I don’t care with the other kids got on their report card, I care about what you got.” How is your report card today for man versus your savior, preaching to myself here as well, but John and Paul both, warn us,don’t worry about what man thinks, and to do what you’re doing, for the THE GLORY GOD!!! Continued prayer 🙏 for Allison John and Maverick muchly appreciated ,you have a great Tuesday!!
King Solomon put it best in his book of Proverbs, chapter 1 verse five, “a wise man will hear.” The book of Proverbs is actually a manual between the difference of a wise man and the stupid fool. A fool thinks he can get away with sin, escape the results down the road what it produces, another words, you’re stupid to think no trouble from this move!!! Solomon tells us that a wise man will try to live what is well pleasing to the Lord, not to themselves, and to live according to His Word!!! We don’t dare use the word stupid today, but The Scriptures call those who don’t believe in God a fool !!! When we think we can handle our own life, even pull it off for this vapor here on earth, when every knee shall bow, every fool that didn’t trust in Christ will just find out how stupid that was :-) Sorry to use the word stupid so much, but Solomon does :-) Continued prayers for Maverick muchly appreciated!! Have a great Lord’s Day 🙏🙏
If you look up the word “fool” you will find, it is a brother without Christ, in biblical terms!!!! NOT GOOD Just a sidenote, the book of Proverbs itself, is a collection of Solomon’s wisdom that was put in book form, for you and me to read 👍👍 The United States Army and The United States Marine Corps have what they call an MOS, meaning, military occupational specialty. In the army there was about 190 of them, and we were all assigned an MOS out of basic training, in other words we were told what we would be best at to help the army, and our company succeed!! In God‘s army, there’s probably even more than 190 GOS’s
( God’s Occupational Specialty) and just to be appointed to one in the service of Our King, is truly an honor. Tomorrow as you sit in church somewhere, just ask yourself, what is my GOS with this body of believers, what has God best equipped me for to work with these people. You’ll be surprised the answer you come up with :-) Have a great Saturday, continued prayers for Maverick Allison and John, so much appreciated!! Remember, every “GOS”in the body of Christ is just as important as the next one. Can I get an “A TENN HUT” from the soldiers OF THE CROSS 🙏👍 Just a huge thank you for the prayer chain for Maverick, Allison, and John yesterday!! The report from the doctor‘s visit was that things are as good as they can be 🙏🙏🙏 so thank you, thank you, thank you. If you could continue to uphold them in prayer it would be so appreciated. I’m probably not going to make a lot of friends on this one, but I really don’t care, I was reading out of First Corinthians 6:18 today, that’s where Paul says flee fornication.” Every sin that a man do is without his body, but when he commits fornication, he sins against his own body . I find it absolutely amazing, this is the only sin that is talked about in the Bible that gives you a warning, to flee from it. You won’t find a verse saying flee from murder, flee from stealing, flee from covetness, God figure she should have enough brains on your own to figure those out ,but you will find flee from fornication!!! WOW !!! I guess what Paul’s trying to tell us to do is to save ourselves a lot of trouble down the road and to flee from the flesh. I didn’t make this stuff up,and I apply it to myself first and foremost, before I say anything about it!!!! Paul penned this verse as instructed to do so, Flee, It means to get away from, not to cozy up with. You have a great Friday, thanks again for your prayers, our family sure appreciates them 🙏🙏🙏
FLEE, notice Paul didn’t tell us a way to figure out how to justify it 👍👍 Today’s Daily Thought is going to be dedicated to a family down in Austin, my niece Allison, her husband John, and their precious youngest child of four,Maverick. You’ve seen his name a lot these days on daily thoughts, and today we just need to double down on prayers for this group, it would be so much appreciated if you could uphold their names today!! Prayer works, and are answered in His will, that’s all we can ask. Thanks again for the prayers, I don’t know if you have a prayer chain, but it’s a good feeling knowing you’ve got other believers out there praying!!! Perhaps you’d like to start one today, and if you have one, notify them about little Maverick!! God knows us by name, that’s why we mention their names!! You’re the best!!! THANK YOU 🙏 🙏🙏I’ll keep you posted, have a great Thursday !!!
When David started out his 23rd Psalm with “ The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want” I wonder what kind of a day he was really having when he wrote this. He was admitting that The Lord was his shepherd, and he wanted to be in such a state of mind that he didn’t want something. It seems like the more we want, the more trouble we get into!!
David just wanted a day where His Shepherd was enough, and there was no one other want in his life at that time!!Of course later in the chapter he talks about how The Lord restores his soul. But you’ll notice he was restored without getting anything, he had some quiet time by nice ,still, deep waters and he got into a heavy conversation with His Shepherd!! I think it would be safe to say, that our souls could be restored just by the simple fact of wanting some quiet time with Our Shepherd!! This time of year in my business we basically sit around and wait for snowfall. It’s too early to start spring work and we can’t make it snow :-) and it is amazing how much more time I can spend with God when I have quality quiet time. Make time today to get alone with The Shepard, and get your soul restored :-) You have a great Wednesday,as always thanks for all the prayers and checking in with daily thoughts, and if you keep those prayer warrior hats on for Steve,Jessie and Maverick muchly appreciated, have a great day!!!! Psalm 32:11, Be glad in The Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous and shout for joy,all ye that are upright in heart” I studied this verse 13 years ago on a Sunday morning, and then I wrote this in my memory verse book after I read the verse. “Kind of hard isn’t it Ken to be glad and full of joy when you’re living your life sideways!!! Stay upright !!”
There isn’t anybody that knows better than yourself, when you know you’re not living the way you should, David made it very clear, when you’re upright, you’re in good shape, and when you’re not, well let’s just say you’re sideways. Continued prayers for Jessie Maverick and Steve!!! Thank you so much!!! Enjoy your Tuesday :-) During my sophomore and junior years in high school, I was lucky enough to make it into what they called “honors choir” back then :-) I especially enjoyed it because of all the girls that were in there :-) :-) :-) You had to have tryouts to get in,and you had to be good enough to make it, and like I said, somehow I got in there. I can’t help but think of the praise that I can sing daily to The Lord,I remember growing up singing that opening hymn every Sunday morning,” praise God from whom all blessings flow” IF, you know Christ as Savior, you should be in HIS choir and just singing like crazy for the redeemed. David puts it beautifully in the 89th Psalm first verse,” that he will sing of his mercies of the Lord forever and that my mouth will make known your faithfulness in all generations” Sing on people sing on :-) Have a great Monday, prayers for Jess Maverick and Steve, muchly appreciated !!!!
In Ecclesiastes 11, it talks about casting your bread up on the waters, and you will find, that many days after this, you’ begin to see a crop .That is exactly how the Egyptians use to plant crops sometime. They would throw the seed out on a flooded area, then as the waters receded, sure enough, the crop came forth, but it didn’t happen right away. The harvest came as the verse says, after many days. Have you ever thought you’ve sown something good enough, and taken care of it, and that you should have any immediate crop on the way, that’s not how it works. We get a little anxious, we even have microwaves now and ATM machines :-) Sometimes what we sow and say our prayers, we always want the end results immediately. We won’t know the full result of either till we get to heaven, which is where we will see the true fruits of our labors here on earth!! Hang in there, if you throw your seed out on a flooded area, you won’t be using it to make bread tomorrow, give it time :-) Have a Great Lords Day :-) Continued prayers for Steve Maverik and Jess !! Thanks
